Seize the Birthday Sketch and Color Throwdown
I am coming to realize Stamping and card making are my sanity!! I have been getting up every morning and stamping before the boys wake up and making a card, I seem to be happier when I have a little me time. I love my boys to death but with 4 you tend to feel like you have no me time so stamping is my stress unwind.
I did this card for the very fun sketch this week over at Seize the Birthday, there is lots of fun stuff going on over there I highly recommend checking it out :)
And I also joined in on the Color Throwdown:
And here is my card:
This card was lots of fun I did some paper piecing on the cupcake and a little coloring :)
Ingredients: Crumb cake, so saffron and whisper white card stock, ink in all three colors as well, and bermuda bay. MFt loop border die and cupcakeabella stamp set as well as Itty bitty banners stamp set and die, the circle is from a stamp set from Simon Says Stamp" Its a party" (I think), and some bakers twine and jewels from hobby lobby.

Not so Traditional Christmas(free for all 177)
I think I am obsessed with challenges!! They are just so much fun! I did this card for the Splitcoast Free for all challenge. The challenge was to do Christmas but with non-traditional colors. It was a little bit of a challenge but lots of fun and I really like how it turned out.
I used the Sycamore street dsp and ribbon from the SAB Catalog. Silver Glimmer paper and whisper white cardstock. Cut the border with MFT bracket edge die(love this!!!), popped the ornaments that were punched with the retired ornament punch on dimensionals. I used my stampin spritzer and some rich razzleberry, summer starfruit and pool party markers, and stamped the sentiment with the Sassy Salutations stamp set. TFL!
Oh and here is a list of just a few of my favorite Challenges, I wish I could participate in them all but I would be stamping 24/7....wouldn't that be wonderful ;)

After doing this challenge I realized I need more Christmas stamps lol, thats all I need is another excuse!!!
The Color Challenge on SCS this week was Crumb cake, Gumball Green and Cherry Cobbler.
Dessert was to make it a Christmas Card, they are also looking for a some guest designers for August and September as well as a Host, if you do both challenges this week and next with dessert you could get chosen :)
I decided to use the Retro Sketch for this week #71 and here is my card:
I used Gumball Green for my base of course and some be of good cheer dsp(SU) on top of crumb cake cardstock, MFT looped border die, some very vanilla on top of more crumb cake, the sentiment is from Delightful Dozen(SU), and the little ornaments are from Christmas Deer(SU), and the big ornament is from Tags till Christmas(SU), and punched with the retired ornament punch trimmed and layered on a piece of cherry cobbler punch with the same punch, I used my cherry cobbler and gumball green markers and gumball stamp pad, a little riding hood red taffeta with a brad from Hobby lobby, and last but not least some antique linen Tom Holtz distress ink everywhere.
