I have made a few thing lately Just haven't had a chance to post them. I Joined two swaps this year for VC, the mini notebook which is my fav, and the bookmark card swap which was exclusive to my virtual hotel floor this year which was books and reading. So first is the notebook I did. I used the new in colors and my embrace life set. Next was the bookmark swap I used the in-colors again and Great friend stamp set. I made this card for my Mil with the new dusty durango stuff I got and my because of you stamps that I havent got to use yet I really love these stamps they are awsome. I also used a mojo sketch from a few weeks ago.

Color challenge 222

So I was super excited this morning when my brown friend knocked on my door and delivered my new in color stuff and I had to some of it, oh and I got my new catalog I was so excited.

So the challenge today was to use white and that you could use any color ink you liked but the card could only be one layer. So I used the Melon Mambo and the Bermuda Bay colors I am so excited about the new in colors they are awsome. This was actually one of the first clean and simple cards I have made that I actually really like.

Recipe: Melon Mambo ink and cardstock, Bermuda Bay ink, Taylors tiny twinkles, I used my fleur de lis border punch, ribbon from micheals, my nestabilities to trace the frame and great friend stamp set.

Mojo Sketch 83 and SCS Color challenge(with MIL)

Hey everyone, today I combined the color challenge over on SCS(pink pirouette, basic grey, and rose red)with the Mojo Monday Sketch and my Mother in law joined me today for a little card fun.
Here is my card for the challenges, I finally got to use one of my new stamp sets I've had this one for over a month and haven't had time to touch it. I also got to use some cool new glitter stickers that I got at michaels from k&Company, I Kinda just discovered them and I love, love, almost everything they make.

Recipe, ever after(stamp set), eyelet punch, k&company sparkle stickers, martha stewart butterfly punch, taylors tiny twinkles, (rock and roll technique on stamped image)

This is the card my mother-in-law Rhean made she is here visiting, this is the first challenge she has ever participated in wo-hoo for her. She did pretty well huh!

I Made an Easter Card for my Great Grandma today using Taylors cupcake challenge sketch.
Here is my card. I kinda got some of this card from another card on scs but I changed it up a bit. I colored the image with a blender and ink from my ink pads. I bought this stamp set just for this image I just think its so sweet and soft.

Recipe: (Cardstock)so saffron, perfect plum, old olive, bella rose dsp. (Inks)choc chip, close to cocoa, elegant eggplant, baja blue, so saffron, olive and, kiwi, addarondak pitch black. dew drops, saffron ribbon. Martha stewart butterfly punch.

Hi Everyone,
It is so beautiful outside today, the snow is melting which always makes me happy.
And My DH is coming home today(yeah!!!!). I hate it when he is gone.

Todays challenge on splitcoast, was a challenging one for me, it was to make a clean and simple card. I went on the gallery before I made my card, holy cow there were some beautiful cards. I have always loved the clean and simple look Im just no good at it. I think this card took me as long as it does to make a normal(complicated)card takes me lol. So here it is.

Recipe: Always stamp set and short and sweet(little heart), riding hood red and whisper cardstock, Riding hood red, pink pirouette, and versamark ink.Irridescent Ice embossing powder, filigree brads and half pearl(hobby lobby) and priouette pink ribbon. Oh and threading water punch.

This is Monika Davis's Sketch, this one I had a hard time with, I just dont do good with all circle cards. I used some more bella rose dsp, and some rinestones from Hobby lobby and my dreams du jour stamp set.

This was Stephanie Hargis's Sketch, I always love the way she does her cards the are so simple but really beautiful.

This is my card for her sketch I used a cupcake from Taylors Sweet Celebration Stamp set and broke out the copics to color him, I also used some kiwi double sided satin ribbon and the sentiment is from all holidays.

This is Sherrie Siemens Card it was a fun sketch to do it was the last card I did and I must say after making five cards today it was hard to keep the creative juices flowing but Im happy with how the card turned out considering.

I used my always stamp set again and some bella rose dsp, and some rinestones I got from hobby lobby yesterday.

I love how my card turned out, the fabulous flower stamp set is always good for big circles, I rock and rolled it before I stamped. I used my new fiskers threading water punch and the sentiment is from all holidays. And of coarse I used my nesties.

Wow I cant believe it has been so long, I'm finally moved and have my stamp room mostly set up I was so itching to make something and so I decided to make a card for Taylors Cupcake challenge 51 cute sketch Taylor.

So here is my Card I finally got to use some of my new rasberry tart Dsp and my new stamp set Sweet Stems. I think it turned out pretty good for having not made anything for a while.

Yes I am alive! It had definately been a while, life has been very hectic. Hope everyone had a great Christmas. The reason I haven't posted in so long is because I haven't been able to make anything cause my stamping stuff has been packed. We have finally moved. Goodbye South Dakota, Ill miss you maybe, or at least my friends. After a very hectic time we have a place to live in Billings and we move in on monday yeah It kinda sucks when you don't have a place to land we have been staying with my parents for the last week and a half and im sure they are sick of us. So once we get all moved in and I get my stamping room set back up maybe I can get a card made with all of my new stampin up stuff that I haven't been able to use yet. I cant wait, untill then Happy New Year Everybody! I cant believe its 2009.

I wasn't so sure about these colors at first but I ended up really liking the combo. Cute purse huh. Of coarse if you know me you know I love, love, love purses. My Mom and my siser used to tease me cause I got a new purse every month.

I made this card a few weeks ago for world card making day, and for gina k's project for the troops. I love how this one turned out. I also love this ribbon but found that is is kinda hard to put on a card because it takes up alot of space.

After a few weeks, I finally made a card, I have had alot of stressful and scary things happen in the last couple of weeks but the lord blessed my family and we were able to come through it. At the time of my last post I was so upset that I had actually packed all of my stamping stuff up and decided I wasn't going to even touch it till we moved in december. But my husband and my MIL convinced me that I shouldn't quit something that I love just because some bad things happened to me. Sorry I can't expound more but, I have been able to forget or at least try to forget everything and I was able to sit down yesterday and make this card for Jen Del Muro's Sketch for you to try. It was a cute sketch and I got to use a new stamps set I got three weeks ago and my new ski slope paper, and also some filigree brads that I got with my great rewards points from last quarter which I still cant believe I got and I doubt I will ever get again. So here is my card. I don't know how much I like it. Im thinking It might take me a little while to get some of my mojo back.

Hi, I just wanted to share this cute coffin treat box that I made. I happened to turn on the tv he other day when martha was on and she was making this, so of coarse i had to try it. If your intrested here is the link to the template. Now im havent really made anything halloween cause I dont really have any halloween stamps but I just got a cute set from papertray ink and i used some of them for the front of the coffin. Maybe Ill be able to make a couple of cards before halloween has come and gone.

Here is what it looks like inside, this was all of he candy i had in my house.

I Just used black cardstock and some generic scrapbook paper I had laying around, the stamps are in black and pumpkin. the stamp set i think si called spooky sweets or something like that.

We Have this church craft day on saturday and this is one of the things we are making and the my friend in charge of this spacific project asked me to make one of them decorated for display so people can get ideas and stuff. Its this really cute photo album not really hard to make either.

And here is what it looks like opened up.

I used the navy paper from the prints pack and, some scrap urban garden paper. I also used some baja blue and happy everything stamp set. some not quite navy brads and some kiwi 1/4 inch circle punched. And the ticket corner punch, and some kiwi/vanilla satin ribbon.

Here are some gifts that I made for my MIL for her birthday with a little help from Kaden.

Kaden and his grandma have a special thing with pumpkins so I wanted to make a card with pumpkins and I saw a card like this on someones blog dont remember whos and I thought oh perfect. It also happened to fit this weeks color challenge on SCS which was choc chip, tangerine, and kiwi. Oh and on the inside kaden drew a pic and Its stamped(from your favorite little pumpkin).

Ingredients: choc chip, kiwi, tangerine paper. Photo corners, word window punches. I used my cricut to cut the ovals but you could use stampin ups punches for them. choc brads.

Here is a really cool bag made to imitate the big shot one stampin up has now here is the tutorial for it. I made this to put her presents in.

Ingredients:rust and aumtum vine paper. Stamps:happy everthing, lovely as a tree. 1 1/4 inch punch. Sticky tape, chocolate ribbon.

Here is my card, I distressed the choc chip again by running the ink pad across it, I colored the flowers with stamp n write markers then stamped the image.

I did a double on this card with the SCS Color challenge(Rust, choc chip,Baja) and Julee's Mojo Sketch.
Here is my card, I distressed the card base by sponging and running the ink pad across the cardstock. I wanted to put vanilla behind it but I was all out the square on the front I found in my scraps bin.

Heres my card, its kinda simple, but I actually spent a fair amount of time making it. I still feel like its missing somthing but I cant put my finger on it. I dont know if you cant tell but I Paper pierced the corners. Im pretty happy with it though. This is my first time using my new copic markers I had fun. Taylors images are perfect for that.

Here is a card I made today for fun I wanted to use my new cupcake stamp set from hero arts called seize the cupcake and also use my new choc chip dsp(my fav color). You cant tell in the picture but I tried a new technique that I haven't done before but have been wanting to, which is paper piecing, for anyone who doesn't know its when you stamp the image on something like dsp and cut it out and piece it on to your original image I did that her with the cupcake on the bottom part to get a better look at it go here to my SCS gallery

Verve challenge

So this is a really cool challenge, that Julee is doing for the new verve stamps release. You take a 6x6 sheet of Designer series paper, and cut it into all the pieces to make 4 cards. you upload your cards to splitcoast to enter the contest and they are going to do a random drawing and there will be two grand prize winners who will get all 5 new stamps sets from verve and 5 second place who get one new stamp set. How cool huh to get all of the info go to here.

So here are my cards for the challenge, I have to say I love how they turned out but the picture definately does not do them justice if you want to see them a little better go to this page on my splitcost gallery. I did alot of distressing on these cards, sponging and some ink pad rubbing on the two on the right. I made them all thank you cards cause my friend Julie needed some.

Taylors Cupcake Challenge 32

It's Friday Again, You Know what that means, Taylors Cupcake Challenge. And today is a special one because she released her stamp line called stamp a sweet impression and I'm not ashamed to say that I stayed up last night till 11:00 my time for the release to be one of the first to buy one of Taylors stamp sets. So Exciting! Congrats Taylor I' so Happy for you. So here is the sketch for todays challenge.

So Here is my card. I did something new on this card I've never done before and thats use a sewing machine. Cool huh, I always love the cards I see that have sewing on them, so I barrowed a sewing machine from my MIL,thanks(mom). I've got to get me a machine I just love the effect of sewing on a card. It just adds this element that makes the card so taylored for lack of a better word. I also put some dazzling diamonds on the cupcakes but you cant really see them in the pic. Good sketch Taylor.

So I haven't done a SCS Challenge Since last week and Im gonna do a two challenge knock out.

Im doing wednesdays sketch challenge and todays ways to use it challenge. Todays challenge said to take out you fancy expensive foiled or sparkled paper and stuff like that and use it. I didn't have any so I made my own by embossing the snow flakes with Irridescent Ice Ep. And here is the sketch from yesterday.

And Here is my Card, I think it turned out pretty nice, I'm happy with it.

the only thing I dont like about it is that the white taffetta ribbon that I colored saffron ended up looking like it is gold ribbon in the picture. Other than that I think it turned out pretty good, I think I'll give this card to my Mil for her b-day it just reminds me of her for some reason.

So here is my card, im not to happy with it. I don't know what it is but everything on this card drives me nuts. The image is offcenter, the ribbon isn't quite the same on each side and I dont like this sentiment with it for some reason. I tried to take it off but the dimensionals were ripping the paper so I gave up. But here it is anyway.

I used my bella rose paper which I think is my favorite of the new DSP papers, but that could change since I have my huge first new order from the catalog coming hopefully on friday if they ship it tomarrow cause I want to play this weekend. Here is my card for the splitcoast stampers tuesday color challenge. The challenge was to use kraft ,rose red and black together, I added in a little white it just needed it in my opinion. I think it turned out ok it almost feels like its missing something i put the ribbon on at the last minute but im not sure that helped.

Box Bag

This is a box bag, at least thats what I think they are called they are really awsome! I saw the idea on Di's Handmade creations blog she has a template for a smaller one about card size she says go check hers out its way prettier than mine. I did want a bigger bag so I kinda tweeked the dimensions a little bit mines about ten inches high instead and I had to use two sheets of designer paper instead of one. If anyone wants the dimensions just leave me a comment and I'll get them to you I just cant remember them right now and its almost midnight and I dont feel like getting up and getting them. Heres the supplies.

Yeah I Got my Dreams de Jour Set and new in color paper and ink yesterday, how exciting.
I cased this card for SCS i dont remember who made it but i had to do it a little different. The backround is Flannel plaid with baja breeze ink, the green strip going vertical is whisper white but i took the one of the flowers from hearfelt thanks and stamped all over it with kiwi kiss, the butterflys are also in kiwi and baja, and i distressed a little with kiwi, the scallop edge is made with the new scallop punch with kiwi paper, and i used not quite navy paper and ink to stamp the other images, i used a blender pen to color the flowers, and navy su brads i dont know where the ribbon came from.

I used vanilla for the base and then I used
some red paper from the hostess paper pack
so many scallops and scallop punch, and then
1and 1/4 inch punch and 1 inch punch, the flower
is from Friendship blooms celabration stamp set
with a red rinestone in the middle and vanilla satin
ribbon not stampin up. The bottom is stamped on
vanilla paper with and always stamp.

Flower card/So Swirly

Isn't this card cute Its made with groovy guava and purely pomegranite paper, I paper pierced and hand sowed the stitching. I love the in colors especially these two, Im going to be sad when the colors change because I love these ones so much. The stamps are so swirly wheel, and the happy is from polka dots and paisley.

This card is so cute I got the Idea from michelle forces blog http://micheleforce.blogspot.com/, hers actually turned out better than mine, but it is so cute its a wallet , with a pocket inside, you can put a gift card in it or a handwritten note. I just love it!

This card is my favorite card made to date the stamp is actually one of the only stamps i own that is not stampin up it is from (page corners set)(see dees stamps) I got the idea for this the other day and it turned out great! The rest of the supplies are stampin up!

I Just Joined this afternoon I'm so excited, thanks to a couple of people, Mom you know what you did to make this happen, just want to thank you, I love you lots. Lori my upline Stampin up demonstrator, thanks for all of your help in the past and in the furture. Can't wait to share all of my ideas and projects with everyone out there who loves to stamp.
